Who is Deonna Moore Taylor

Deonna Moore Taylor is a bestselling author, award-winning professional and motivational speaker, executive consultant, and certified life, executive and mindfulness coach. Deonna has consulted, delivered training solutions and worked with Fortune 500 companies, colleges, and non-profit organizations. Her professional portfolio includes City of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Summit County, Cleveland Clinic, Progressive Insurance, Rockwell Automation, CVS Caremark, Smithers Quality Assessments, Case Western Reserve University, Cuyahoga Community College, Girl Scouts USA, NASA, Toastmasters International, and Maximus. In 2016, Deonna started Dempsey Consulting Group (Now Taylored Moore Consulting), and in 2018 organized The Lydia Leader Project, a nonprofit education and training organization for women in leadership and clergy leadership.

 

Deonna provides strategic and operational leadership consulting, change management, organizational psychology, branding, and client relationship management. Her specialties include Healthcare, Government, Education, Information Technology and Entrepreneurialism. Her goal and objective is to provide stellar services while coaching and teaching her clients how to be stellar.

In addition to co-authoring three bestselling books, Deonna is the author of three industry driven planners and journals that are in high demand among her clients and others. She is also a contributing writer for several magazines, blogs and online publications. Deonna is a member of several organizations in the community including Toastmasters International, where she is a multiple-minted (more than five times) Distinguished Toastmaster, the highest educational award a Toastmaster can receive. Deonna is the 2017 District 10 Toastmaster of the Year, 2016 Division Director of the Year, and has received several District Director Awards for her contributions and service to the organization. Additionally, Deonna serves as Worthy Matron of Morning Star #4, Order of Eastern Star, and is a member of NCNW, TLOD, and Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

 

Deonna has been bestowed many professional and personal accolades. She is an honored member of the 2017, 2018, and 2019 classes of Who's Who in Black Cleveland, was inducted into the Kaleidoscope Magazine’s Forty/40 Club in 2014, and has received other notable awards from several local and national organizations.

Being lifelong follower of Christ, Deonna was baptized at the age of 11 under the leadership of the late Rev. Lozie Butler at her childhood church, the former Ministers Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of 14, she delivered her first sermon for the annual youth day program and became the first leader for the youth department. Having served in several church leadership positions including Financial Secretary, Trustee, Church Administrator, Choir Director, Youth Advisor, Associate Pastor and Christian Education Director, Deonna received her calling into ministry in 2000, and was licensed to preach the gospel on February 18, 2001. She was ordained as a Reverend and appointed to the office of Elder on January 19, 2020.

Deonna attended The University of Akron, majoring in Political Science and American History with a concentration in government and black studies. She also attended Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Deonna received a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Counseling and Theology from Grace Biblical Institute and Seminary. She is currently working on a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Zoe Fellowship Bible College. She also received a certificate in Grief Counseling from Queens College of Theology.

Deonna and her husband Lenard, live in Northeast Ohio.
